Harry Steppe was a character comedian during the early 1900’s and was known as: “The Hebrew Gent”.. He had a popular travelling show which played across the U.S. and Canada, from 1911-1938.. Looking not unlike a character from a Martin Scorsese film,— entrepreneur Joe Savino poses proudly in front of his ‘PILGRIM Theatre’ in Boston..  In July of ‘73, Savino staged an old-style Burlesque show there; complete with chorus girls, fan dancers, comedians, and a live orchestra.. Liz Renay would headline the inaugural Striptease performances..
