"Heavenly" Kalantan
Mary Ellen Tillotson was born in Fresno, California; on March 3, 1928. She was the youngest of 5 children. Like many others in Burly-Q, she got her start in the chorus line of L.A.’s 'FOLLIES Theatre' ; under the tutelage of it’s manager: Lillian Hunt..
Before too long, she was headlining. And apart from being the Feature Act in 1946’s "Hollywood Revels",— she also appeared in the 1955 film: "Son Of Sinbad"..  During her dance career, Kalantan toured all across America; as well as Mexico. And a particular favorite of nightclub audiences along Bourbon Street, in New Orleans.
In May of ‘63, she married actor John Bromfield; and retired to live in Palm Springs, CA..
